Going forward ALL CODES are required to be classified and assigned a Hierarchy.

   

This is a requirement put forward by Senior Management to help improve reporting accuracy and identification of products. As a result we have added in a new field has been to the code request form to reflect this requirement. 


   

As noted if you are unsure as to which hierarchy to select, please confirm it with your branch manager prior to sending the request in.



The definition of the four classifications of hierarchy are as follows:

 

Value Added:


Any item that is manufactured by Centennial, B&C, C2C and Burger Shop Production - Including freezer packs and production repackaging


Branded - 3rd Party:


Any item part of a specific 3rd party "Premium Meats" program or 3rd party product for EXCLUSIVE CFS and B&C sales - Excludes CFS/B&C Production: See Value Added


Branded - Proprietary:


Any item produced and packaged by any vendor/manufacturer with Centennial and/or B&C Foods on the label and/or box for EXCLUSIVE CFS and B&C sales - Does the packaging have Centennial/B&C on it?

   

Commodity:


All other items purchased from external suppliers - Including non-inventory items




Examples of Branded Classification:

Branded - Proprietary Packaged inside a Centennial, C2C, Wild Dave, B&C, or Little Chef box and or label for exclusive sales for CFS
Branded - 3rd Party

Packaged in the supplier box for exclusive sales for CFS




Is this product made by us? If yes, then it's a Value Added


Do we buy this product and it has Centennial/B&C Packaging or Label? If yes, then it's a Branded - Proprietary


Do we buy this product and it's part of the Premium Meats Program? Or is it exclusive for CFS and B&C? If yes, then it's a Branded - 3rd Party


Does it not fit any of those above criteria? Then it's a Commodity
