CFS password policy requires all users to change their windows/cluster password every 120 days; if a password is not changed within 120 days, it will expire and the user will not be able to access the cluster. The computer will automatically remind you to change your password a few days before the password expires as well as email alerts. Example of a reminder:
Password complexity requirements:
- Length: 12 characters minimum
- At least one English uppercase character (A through Z),
- At least one English lowercase character (a through z),
- At least one Non-alphabetic character (for example, !, $, #, %),
- Enforced password history, 5 passwords remembered.
- Cannot use your name or last name as part of the password
In order to change your password in cluster
Click on 'Change Password' on desktop
Click on Change Password
- Enter your current password
- Enter New Password
- Confirm New Password
- Click on the "Arrow button"
For changing password locally on the computer,
- Press CTRL + ALT + DEL
- Click on "Change a password..."
- Enter your current password
- Enter New Password
- Confirm New Password
- Click on the "Arrow button"
